Gateway Legends is an initiative led by Fair Saint Louis that aims to be the catalyst for esports growth in the St. Louis region and create an inclusive, community focused esports event that St. Louis can be proud of. Our priorities are increasing access to esports competition for all communities, contextualizing this pursuit for parents, and putting students on the big stage, making them feel like superstars.
The first two years of our journey were rooted in scholastic esports, providing a premier event for national college teams as well as Missouri high school programs. This year, Gateway Legends will host MOSEF’s Missouri High School, Rural High School and Middle School State Championship tournament. In addition, we have chosen to add an open play element, which will allow any competitor to enter the bracket for the opportunity to compete for the $10,000 prize pool.
Between the open bracket and the MOSEF State Championships, we will be gathering 650+ competitors over Memorial Day weekend at Ballpark Village. Our goal is to continue to evolve our partnerships and grow this esports opportunity for St. Louis each year, making Gateway Legends the premier esports celebration in the Midwest!
